The British Student Film Festival

The British Student Film Festival is a national exhibition of student films held in numerous venues across the country including Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool and London. The festival holds the uncompromising position that every student’s film is shown and is open to school, college, university and higher education institution students. The festival aims to provide young filmmakers with new opportunities and a unified space in which to exhibit and develop.
BSFF seek to stress the poetic vision and creativity inherent in every student, exhibited in the festival through film work. They hope to not only help those filmmakers with a desire to enter the industry as a career but also to demonstrate the creativity and vision in each student.
Awards will be provided for films which are exemplary in their execution. The panel of judges includes Rankin, Jonathan Amos and Kristen Cavendish.
Creative Patrons for the British FIlm Festival board include Sam Taylor-Wood, Sally Phillips and Justin Kerrigan.
The deadline for submissions is 31 January 2012. The British Student Film Festival will take place in April 2012.
