Launch of the 5th Jarman Award

Film London and Channel 4 in association with Whitechapel Gallery have launched this years prestigious Jarman Award with a call for nominations.
The Jarman Award will see UK artists contending for £10,000 prize money and as in previous years, Channel 4 is supporting the Award with short film commissions for their Random Acts strand.
Representatives from the art world, including commissioners, artists, cinema programmers and gallery curators are invited to suggest potential recipients of the 2012 Award. Ten artists will be shortlisted, and their work will tour in a Jarman Award national tour of events and screenings will take place in the run up to the announcement of this years winner in November.
Previous winners include Anja Kirschner & David Panos, Emily Wardill and Lindsay Seers. More information on the Jarman Award can be found here.
