Ben Rivers: Two Years at Sea + Q&A at Curzon Renoir

On 03/05/2012 by Tarnia

Two Years at Sea, Ben Rivers‘ acclaimed award-winning debut feature is released by Soda Pictures in selected cinemas across the UK from this Friday, 4 May.

Commissioned and produced through Film London’s innovative FLAMIN Productions, Two Years at Sea is a stunning portrayal of the solitary existence of Jake, a man who lives in isolation in the middle of the forest in a remote part of Scotland.

Exquisitely shot in black and white, using 16mm cameras, the film follows Jake’s unconventional life, capturing moments of profound beauty to create an intimate connection with an individual who would otherwise be a complete outsider to us.

Two Years at Sea will be screened at Curzon Renoir Friday 46 May at 6.20pm followed by a Q&A with Ben Rivers. Tickets can be purchased here.

Ben Rivers past work Slow Action: a post-apocalyptic science fiction film that brings together a series of four 16mm works, is part of the Animate Collection and can be viewed here.
