BFI Anime biennial weekend showcase

BFI Southbank will be showcasing some of the best Anime films recently made. The programme offer an eclectic mix of different genres and styles with such titles as Studio Ghibli’s much anticipated From Up on Poppy Hill and BFI regular Makoto Shinkai’s Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below.

The Anime biennial weekend will host the premier of Full Metal Alchemist 2, featuring a Q&A with special guests Kazuya Murata and Masahiko Minami and The Princess and the Pilot as well as a screening of Gintama: The Movie.

There will also be the opportunity to see the Anime classic Akira.
